American Foundry Society

American Foundry Society: Founded in 1896 and has Grown to an international organization of approximately 10,000 members in 47 countries. AFS assists member companies and individuals to effectively and efficiently manage all production operations, to profitably market their products and services, and to equitably manage their employees. The mission of the AFS today is "to provide and promote knowledge and services that strengthen the metalcasting industry for the ultimate benefit of its customers and society". Association for Iron and Steel Technology

Choffin Career Center

Choffin Career and Technical Center: Founded in CCTC offers a variety of programs including career classes for high school students as well as Adult Education classes. Two new College Tech Prep classes have begun in the 2005-2006 school year: Pre-Engineering and Teacher Preparation. (Click here for additional information on CCTC)


Kent State Trumbull is a local resource for Workforce Development and Continuing Education. Kent State's training and consulting services provide results-based impact with an emphasis on short-term gains and lon-term sustainability. Area Course offerings include: Personal Enrichment, Professional Development,Computers, Public Service, Workforce Development, OnlineShort Courses, Online Career Programs with credits toward Associates and Bachelors Degrees. Mahoning County Career and Technical Center

Mahoning County Career and Technical Center: Located on a beautiful campus-like setting in Mahoning County, MCCTC focuses on Secondary Vocational, Secondary Academic, and Adult Education Programs. One key program is Precision Machine Technology. The demand for professional machinists is at an all-time high. Graduates of this program may serve two year apprenticeships, attend technical schools or pursue two-year college degrees in manufacturing or mechanical engineering technology. New Castle School of Trades

New Castle School of Trades: Founded in 1945 in New Castle, PA., until present day, thousands of students, young and old alike, have graduated from NCST.  As the school enters its 61st year of operation, plans are being made to construct a new 50,000 square foot facility on the east side current location.  The school now offers degrees in Auto Tech, Machine Tech, Refrigeration Tech, and Building Tech.

Trumbull Career & Technical Center

Trumbull Career and Technical Center: Founded in 1978, TCTC now has 19 area schools attending. TCTC offers 38 career-tech, prep high school programs with approximately 1,000 secondary students (Juniors and Seniors) enrolled at the present time. Employment placement rate is 91% (adults) and 87.5% (secondary students). Articulation is with Kent State University - Trumbull Campus. (Click here for additional information on TCTC)
