Coupling Repair

Similar to the fabrication of new or repair of broken spindles, we are fully equipped to handle every customer request regardless of its complexity.

If brought in as a full assembly, we remove the couplings easily with our 600 Ton Press
which has a torch (heating) capacity of 1,000,000 BTU. The couplings are then inspected and a work order is established tracking the repair process from initial inspection to final inspection.

The overlay material specification to build back the bore of the coupling is specific to each customer’s request. Our recommendation is a 120,000 tensile strength overlay with impact resistance characteristics.

All products are stress-relieved in one of our 5-heat treating furnaces and ultra-sonically tested prior to shipment to the customer.
